MANAMA, BAHRAIN – 20 April 2021 – Ithmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, announced today (ed note 20/04/21) that its Head of Human Resources has earned the highest-level degree offered by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Ithmaar Bank Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Abdul Rahim, congratulated Enas Rahimi on the achievement and wished her continued success with her career.
“Ithmaar Bank is committed to becoming the Islamic retail bank of choice in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Abdul Rahim. “To help realize this commitment, we invest heavily in continuously enhancing our products and services, on growing closer to our customers and on improving their Islamic banking experience. Ultimately, however, our success is entirely dependent on our people who must translate this vision into a tangible, on-the-ground reality,” he said.
“In this regard, we invest heavily in the continuous training and development of our people, who we have long-recognised to be our most valuable asset,” said Abdul Rahim. “This, in turn, helps further reinforce our merit-based culture and creates a rewarding work environment for our employees,” he said.
“Enas’s latest achievement is a great example of this very approach,” said Abdul Rahim. “It is the result of tremendous dedication and hard work and, on behalf of the executive management team, I wish her continued success,” he said.
“The continuous guidance and support of the CEO and the Bank’s senior management team were instrumental in helping me earn this award,” said Rahimi. “I am deeply grateful for their support and look forward to continuing to serve the Bank and its employees,” she said.
The CIPD is a professional association for human resource management professionals that is headquartered in London, England. Founded in 1913, it is the world's oldest association in its field and has over 150,000 members internationally working across private, public and voluntary sectors. The prestigious degree is widely recognised as among the best in the world.
Rahimi is a senior Bahraini Human Resources executive with approximately twenty years of progressive experience. In her current role as Head of Human Resources at Ithmaar Bank, she spearheaded the Bank’s Career Progression Programme and helped achieve 97 percent Bahrainisation, one of the highest in the industry.

In addition to her management role at the Bank, Rahimi is also Secretary of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of the Board. She is also a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of the Bahrain Association of Banks.

Rahimi began her career at JP Morgan Chase Bank in 1999, before moving first to the Bahrain Training Institute, then the Ministry of Education, and then joining the Bank in 2005. During her career, in addition to focusing on her professional growth, she also worked on giving back to the community and has been an active inJaz volunteer for more than 13 years.

Rahimi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Banking and Finance from the University of Bahrain in 2001, and an MBA, with a specialisation in Project Management, from AMA International University in 2006.
