MANAMA, BAHRAIN – 2 December 2023 – Ithmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, marked Bahraini Women’s Day by honoring the Bank’s women employees and collaborating with a local businesswoman for this occasion, “honoring women efforts with women creativity”.

“In marking Bahraini Women’s Day, every year Ithmaar Bank celebrates the valuable roles women play in our economy, society and community at large,” said Ithmaar Bank Head of Enterprise Support Services and Sustainability, Einas Raheemi. “We are proud to announce that the Bahranisation among women employees in Ithmaar Bank has reached 100 percent,” she said.

“Women play key roles in all levels and across all departments at the Bank,” said Raheemi. “They represent 36 percent of the employees’ total workforce, 18 percent of senior management roles, and 33 percent of the members of the Board of Directors. The Bank’s growth and continued success would not have been possible without them,’ she said.

“Ithmaar Bank has long recognised women as an active partner in the workforce, as well as our corporate clients and SME’s,” said Raheemi. “The Bank has always embedded in its strategies the support, growth and prosperity of all women stakeholders and will surely continue to focus on enhancing our performance-based culture and celebrating women efforts and valuable contributions along the journey,” she said.
